Well here’s something… Excuse my bad sketch.Featured here are two characters from a series I briefly did/planned out in High School called「other attic」. It follows a boy who had a series of unfortunate events happen, so he tries running away from the world. Upon doing so, he finds a door in a ceiling that he touches and transports him to another world simply referred to as “the other attic” by inhabitants.Unlike Jack & Jill, which is focused on being light hearted and a sort of parody of manga/anime, and Other Attic is meant to a complete opposite. It’s full of mean-spirited characters, nobody is technically a ‘good’ guy, and it is more offensive sometimes. There are two types of characters in Other Attic. Those that come from it and those that came to it. Those that arrived in OA, are all people with flaws of every kind, and more importantly, fears. Those that exist from OA are often projections of the other characters’ fears and flaws. They all intend to deceive those that don’t come from there. The main male character is referred to as “Blank” and doesn’t actually introduce himself to anyone. The creature haunting him is the bag-headed guy named “Corner”. Corner follows Blank around Other Attic with intent on strangling him with a water hose. What is Blank running from? What is he afraid of? What is Corner, and why such a name? Why a water hose? Well, you’ll just have to wait.

As per usual, here are some recent pictures I did for GoNintendo podcast. Neither are my best work. Just bizarre or random ideas I had to fit with Easter and the 400th Podcast, which they both occurred with.

The Easter one references A Link to the Past, Link’s Awakening, Majora’s Mask, The Legend of Zelda (original), Billy Hatcher & The Giant Egg, Pokémon, Yoshi and F-ZERO (most of these are referenced via the eggs themselves).

The 400th Podcast pic is EarthBound characters in the style of Charlie Brown (primarily older style, but it’s a mix). Also features a hint of Giygas and Happy Happyism.

Anyway, enjoy my crap.

Recently, I’ve had the sudden urge and vague inspiration to do a ‘series’ of me, talking about video games (specifically ones I like and why I like them) and going from there to see what happens. The catch is, they would be animated.I think the closest thing I can compare it to would be Sequelitis, but it would be focusing on a specific game and not comparing it to a sequel or prequel specifically. The 3 games I have in mind to do first are Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask and Deadly Premonition. Again, this will only happen if I can get together the tools (a mic) and be bothered to write a script and animate any amount of it (mouth movements and minor movements mostly, with a few things here and there). This is in no way an official announcement of anything, just something I am considering.I’d love to do it, it’s just a matter of sitting down to put it together. We’ll see what happens.I’d also love music. For like an opening. If I make one, it’ll be atrocious. And beautiful.Anyway~ this image I am presenting is just a test pic for what it would look like. I like the idea of a papery background and I think I like this style for what I’ll look like while talking about the games. While discussing, things will just start popping up (like that Mummy boss from CV3) as I discuss them and they’ll have limited animation as well.If anyone actually reads these, let me know your thoughts.

This is something related to my comics. A character I designed back in 8th grade, predating Jack & Jill, who was meant to be a love interest and a main character for an Bio-Nemesis comic I never wound up making. She did, however, appear prominently in stories I participated in on Totally Resident Evil’s forums back then, which actually helped form Bio as a character. As time went on, and the inspiration for fleshing out [the girl] grew distant, she vanished from my drawings and didn’t make any sort of appearance in any comic I made. As Bio’s love interest, she was also replaced by the character Holly. I always hate letting things die off, and she always struck me as a very “plain” and normal girl. A bit frumpy, if you will. I’ve considered bringing her back in some way. I haven’t decided how to go about it yet, but I wanted to update her, as she has literally not been drawn since I was 13 years old.

WARNING/HEADS UP - The last picture looks horrendous unless you click on the full view. It’s also a GIF, so you need to expand it!

Well then. It has certainly been a long time since I last posted (Christmas!). Here’s the most recent GoNintendo Podcast pictures I’ve done.

January 12th - Due to a Pokemon Direct that had aired prior, I drew the new starters (Chespin, Fenniken and Froakie) from Pokemon X & Y, the first games of the 6th generation. There’s a tiny RMC riding on Froakie.

January 19th - Drew a loopy (Adventure Time-y) Pandora’s Tower pic after XSEED announced bringing the game to North America. RMC’s face is the tattoo logo, though it’s hard to see. The background is actual art from the game, though, that I filtered.

February 3rd - Fire Emblem Awakening was releasing, and as a result, I drew RMC as Marth. Arms look a little short though. Pic was also based on a pose from Toon Link.

February 16th - There was a recent Nintendo Direct focused on Luigi for part of it, announcing the Year of Luigi, with several games starring him. Decided to draw a bunch of obscure Luigis from the past 30 years.

March 2nd- Castlevania Mirror of Fate for 3DS was coming out and I decided to make a drawing based on the cover art, featuring RMC as the Lost Soul’s mask and using the classic logo style.

March 16th- Following the recent reveal that Pokemon Rumble U would use NFC (near field communication) figures (similar to Skylanders or the upcoming Disney Infinity) and the Mini Nintendo Direct for Flipnote Studio 3D, I decided to make a flipnote (on DSi) starring RMC getting a random figure from a gashapon machine.

And so that’s what’s been going on in the wild world of my art for GoNintendo Podcast. Hope you enjoy.

Made my final picture for the GoNintendo Podcast this year (but will be back next year!). This one was for Webisode 384, the ChristmasCast.
The actual concept of RMC and Santa touching beards (and the noodly, old fashioned/Adventure Timey style) was suggested by my girlfriend, then I just brought it all to life. Also made a point to implement a fake issue of the newly announced Nintendo Force as well as some things actually referenced on today’s podcast (something I generally neglect to do).But yeah, lots of hidden little references, as always. Hope people enjoy it, even though not very many people see these. Will post something else on Christmas. Until then, happy holidays!

Well, this is certainly something I may or may not be working on.

Well, this is certainly something I may or may not be working on.

Been a while, again, but here are 3 more artses for GoNintendo’s Podcast.

First up is Webisode #376 (October 27, 2012), which preceded Halloween. Using Gameboy colors, I made RMC old-timey and threw in some ghosts from obscure titles like Trace Memory (Another Code), Animal Crossing, Ghost Trick and EarthBound, etc. Also a reference to Castlevania II.

Next is Webisode #379  (November 17, 2012), which was also my 25th birthday! It was also the day before the North American Wii U launch, which was also the same day the Gamecube launched in NA years back. Pays tribute to them (and Majora’s Mask, since less than 24 hours remained at the time, dohoho) using an Adventure Time style of sorts.

And finally, Webisode #382 (December 8, 2012), which follows a barrage of Nintendo Directs and the Spike TV Video Game Awards. Done in the style of Spike’s Game of the Year Award winner- The Walking Dead, it features RMC, Samuel L. Jackson and LEGO Iwata. At the time I am posting this, RMC mistakenly posted Poopaloop as the artist though (assuming he copied/pasted last week’s set-up, as he made the reverse mistake one other week and credited me instead of him).

Aassuming we don’t all die, I believe I will have only one more of these before the new year begins, so I may be doing a Christmas theme AND get to do the first one for 2013. I can’t believe I’ve been doing these for 5 months now (I only drew 8, and RMC’s birthday card cover, which was used one week). That’s crazy. I know Poopaloop’s been doing it longer, but it’s still pretty cool.

Last night, I saw down with the intent of making a small “dump” of crude, strange artwork based on things I liked (games, anime, comics, whatever). Initially, I intended for it to not be that big, but slowly, everything started happening and I started filling in small spaces and I wound up spending almost 3 hours or more just *drawing* random stuff.I mean, it’s got everything. Persona, Nintendo characters, Marvel characters, Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, Solid Snake, Resident Evil, blink-182, Charlie Brown, Disney, Katawa Shoujo, Silent Hill, The Office, Deadly Premonition, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc. There’s just so much crap here.Everything is crudely drawn (in particular, Bert & Ernie, if you can spot them) and there are some really small things (Miku running from a Broken Neck ghost from Fatal Frame, it’s above the Wooper girl and below Heather+Numb Body), but man. I enjoyed the hell out of this and will probably do more in the future.I’m sure nobody will see this, but I hope those that do can enjoy.

Oh… what could this be? Does that say “Other Attic”? Ohoho…
